- Design of Low Height Cameras with Reduced Sensitivity to Manufacturing Errors – In addition to the design of low height solutions, custom and internally developed design for manufacturing (DFM) approaches are used to desensitize the lens to the common manufacturing errors, resulting in systems with more consistent performance, and/or yield improvements.
- Wide Field of View Imagers with Arbitrary Zoom – FiveFocal has designed a 360 degree imager with a zoom channel that can be arbitrarily positioned anywhere within the field of view.
- Visual Odometry – FiveFocal is developing a vision based visual odometery system for 3D mapping, modeling, and localization in GPS denied environments.
- Task Based Algorithm Development – Algorithm for enhancing the value of security cameras, unattended ground sensors, unattended ground vehicles and autonomous vision based systems.
- Algorithm Development for Human Observed Images or Video – Development of the full ISP, components of the ISP or image quality benchmarking of the customers current approach against other commercially available options.
- Camera Testing Algorithms – Including high speed MTF calculations, distortion and color fidelity calculations. The options vary from robust, high accuracy approaches to approximations that can be used for rapid evaluation on the manufacturing line.

- Computational Imaging – With a long history of developing computational imaging technologies, FiveFocal can provide a third party opinion of the value of applying computational imaging approaches to the customers problem when compared to traditional approaches.
- Component Selection – Third party assistance in the selection of lens vendor, sensor vendor, module integrator, autofocus actuator when considering component performance and price. Additionally, the evaluation of new technologies within the security and defense imaging space is offered to help the customer balance the risk of integrating a new technology vs. its reward.
